ആജ്ഞയും കർമ്മണിയും | Imperative To Passive Voice
Let + Obj + be + PPV + RPS(i) Let: തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന വാക്യം Imperative ആണെന്നു കണ്ടാൽ 'Let' കൊണ്ട് ഉത്തരം ആരംഭിക്കണം. (ii) Obj: Main verb-നുശേഷമാണ് object നിൽക്കുന്നതെന്ന് അറിയാമല്ലോ. ഇവിടെയും അങ്ങനെതന്നെയാണ്. പക്ഷേ, ഇവിടെ പ്രത്യേകം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടത് 'Let' എഴുതിക്കഴിഞ്ഞ് Object-ന്റെ Object രൂപം തന്നെ എഴുതണം. മറ്റ് വാക്യങ്ങളിൽ നാം Object ന്റെ Subject രൂപമാണല്ലോ എഴുതിയത്. അതായത്, Let കഴിഞ്ഞ് Object form മാത്രമേ എഴുതാവൂ. (iii) be: Object എഴുതിക്കഴിഞ്ഞ് 'be' എന്ന് ചേർക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. (iv) PPV: ഇവിടെ verb-ന്റെ Past Participle എഴുതണം. (v) RPS (Remaining Part of the Sentence): ഇവിടെ, വാക്യത്തിൽ ഇനിയും മറ്റെന്തെങ്കിലും എഴുതാൻ ബാക്കിയുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ എടുത്തെഴുതണം.
അതോടെ Passive Voice-നുള്ള ഒരു മാർക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കും.ഉദാഹരണങ്ങൾ: 1. Please open the door.
Let the door be opened. (Please, Kindly എന്നിവ Passive Voice-ൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ടതില്ല). 2. Read the sentence. Let the sentence be read 3. Bring him here. Let him be brought here ( ഇവിടെ 'him'-ന്റെ object form തന്നെ വന്നത്ശ്ര ദ്ധിക്കുമല്ലോ) 4. Give the order. Let the order be given 5. Find out the missing boy, please. Let the missing boy be found out, Exercise 1. No one has opened the gate for two months - is the active form of (a) The gate has not opened for two months
(b) For two months no one has been opened the gate.
(c) The gate has not been opened for two months (d) The gate is not being opened for two months Ans: (c) തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന വാക്യത്തിലെ subject 'No one' ആണ്. No one / No body / None എന്നിവയിലെന്നു കൊണ്ട് ഒരു വാക്യം ആരംഭിച്ചാൽ അതിനെ passive voice-ലേക്ക് മാറ്റാൻ auxiliary verb-നോടൊപ്പം 'not' ചേർക്കണം
2. (d) The poet will praise on his birthday celebration Ans: (a) (b) option-ൽ Auxiliary verb ഇല്ല. ഒരു statement sentence -നെ Passive voice- ലേക്ക് മാറ്റുമ്പോൾ auxiliary verb നിർബന്ധമാണ്. (c) Option-ൽ auxiliary verb 'has' ആണ്. Passive voice-ൽ has/have/had കഴിഞ്ഞ് 'been' വേണമല്ലോ. (d) Option-ൽ auxiliary verb 'will' ആണ്. Passive voice- ൽ modal auxiliary കഴിഞ്ഞ് 'be' ചേർക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
3. Why did you stop him? change into passive voice
(a) Why did he stopped by you? (b) Why is he stopped by you? (c) Why were he stopped? (d) Why was he stopped? Ans: (d) (a) Option-of did വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. Passive Voice-ൽ ഒരിക്കലും ഉപ് യോഗിക്കാൻ പാടില്ലാത്തെ auxiliary verb കളാണ് do/ does/did എന്ന് അറിയാമല്ലോ. (b) Option-ൽ auxiliary verb ആയി 'is' ആണ് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്. ചോദ്യം past-ൽ ഉള്ളതാ ണല്ലോ. അതിനാൽ ഉത്തരവും past-ൽ ആകണമല്ലോ. (c) Option-ൽ auxiliary verb 'were' ആണ് നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. He എന്ന object ഏകവചനമായതിനിൽ 'were' ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ലല്ലോ.
4. Have you written the exam? -change the voice of the verb.
(a) Have the exam been written? (b) Has the exam been written? (c) Has the exam written? (d) None of these Ans: (b) (a) Option-ൽ auxiliary verb ആയി നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത് have ആണ്. എന്നാൽ object ആയ exam ഏകവചനമായതിനാൽ has എന്ന auxiliary verb ആണ് വരേണ്ടത്.
(c) Option-has/have/ had auxiliary verb ആയി വന്നാൽ അത് passive- ലേക്ക് മാറ്റുമ്പോൾ, അത് കഴിഞ്ഞ് 'been' ഉണ്ടാകണമല്ലോ. ഇവിടെ അങ്ങനെ നൽകിയിട്ടില്ല.
5. Please switch on the TV-pick out the correct passive form (a) Please the TV be switched on (b) Let the TV switched on (c) Let the TV be switched on (d) Switch the TV on Ans: (c) വാക്യം Imperative ആണ്. Imperative-നെ Passive voice ലേക്ക് മാറ്റുമ്പോൾ സാധാരണയായി 'Let' കൊണ്ട് തുടങ്ങണം. (a) Option അങ്ങനെയല്ല ആരംഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. (b) Option-ൽ be വന്നിട്ടില്ല (d) Option main verb കൊണ്ട് Start ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. Passive voice-ൽ ഒരിക്കലും Main verb കൊണ്ട് വാക്യം ആരംഭിക്കില്ല.
